À La Mer is an apartment (1 bedroom ONLY), with a sea view and view of the nearby L 'Agulhas Lighthouse. The bedroom is spacious with a comfortable double bed and a shower. The toilet and washbasin are separate. The kitchen/diningroom is spacious and fully equipped. The apartment is ideal for one couple and 1 or 2 accompanying children. PLEASE NOTE: This apartment is NOT SUITABLE for 4 adults. The space The kitchen/dining area consists of a futon double sleeper couch for a child. A newly built braai (barbeque) area with patio has a view on the lighthouse. Full DSTV and free Wi-Fi available, as well as a small safe for your valuables. Safe parking for vehicles. This self-catering unit is also pet friendly. À La Mer is situated 300m from the sea and tidal pools, Friendly Grocer, restaurants and Gift Shops. It is a safe and peaceful area. Just the right place to take a break from the hectic city life. We welcome all guests and speak Afrikaans, English, Dutch and German fluently. Guest access À La Mer is a private and separate unit from the main dwelling and has its own access. Other things to note L'Agulhas is a qauint little town at the most southern tip of the African continent where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans meet. This point is walking distance from À La Mer. The lighthouse was built in 1849 and is the second oldest working lighthouse in South Africa with an art gallery and small museum inside. A visit to the top is worthwile for a spectacular view of the town and sea.
